Dreamtime to Reality
My water love or my love of water?
My Dream -
I hear my name being whispered, someone is calling me…
These whispers caress me, like a fluid hand at the back of my neck, an invisible pull at my lower back towards this force, a water like force that's wrapping around me, and the love is fierce, passionate, wild and while cool & fluid it's also on fire. I'm not resisting, not fully giving in to it either, but this caress knows me and I know it intimately.
Momentarily I experience a shift.
the scene changes…
I’m standing on a rocky edge with the sea lapping and splashing against the rocks.
A figure beside me barely visible as if made of water, yet definitely there, it has taken on a masculine male form. He dives into the deep water and I without hesitation, run without care along the sea carved rock edges, no fear or trepidation, but instead a pull from the centre of my being opens and I leap up spreading my arms and soar into the sky before turning my body, feet high to the air, hands pointing to the water to dive after him into the depths of the sea, as I dive every cell in my body is diving, straight into the deep water, I open completely to the stillness of this underworld. I'm breathing although I'm underwater, I'm aware of this strange phenomenon.
I feel complete, I'm full, whole, and in that instance he swims by me and there is without question a coming together of our 2 bodies, fitting, swaying, caressing, yielding and leading at the same time, we both know each other's moves, we both know every fibre we are pure water and we're fully human, it's strange and wonderful.
After the dream, on waking -
When I wake, unlike other dreams the feeling stays with me.
I went to the coast that evening, to the 40foot in Sandycove, Dublin.
The intense feeling of love flowing through me stayed strong all day.
I dived from the rocks into the cold beautiful water and felt a full bodied awakening of all of my senses. It was beyond words. I whispered to the water-
“I'm here, feel me, see me, love me, and in real time, I connected to my love of water”.
